Welcome to the Children's Ministry here at Calvary Chapel. We are excited to have the opportunity to
serve you and your child. Our goal is to make our classes the best hour in your child's week so that
they have a desire to return and learn more about God's love for them and eventually surrender their life to Him!
With God's Word as a priority, we have designed the Children's Ministry in such a way that kids can
learn at their own level and at their own pace. To create the environment most conducive for learning,
we place a high priority on quality. By quality we mean: teachers who emphasize love, classrooms that
are clean and orderly, procedures that are safe and curriculum that is age-appropriate, interactive, fun and Bible-based.
We look forward to seeing your family each week as part of a commitment to laying a foundation of
Biblical truth on which your child can build their life.

Small Groups Play Large Roles
|
We have structured our ministry around the concept of small groups. Children are given the opportunity
to grow spiritually and relationally each week with the same small group of kids and leaders. Our
Elementary children are placed in small groups of 10-12 children identified by colors such as red,
blue or yellow. Children who do not attend the same service on a regular basis, or are visiting, will
also experience a small group - the gold team. The makeup of this team will change from week to week,
depending upon the children who attend that particular service. The Children's office will contact you
when your child is placed in a permanent small group.
Kids in our Nursery and Early Childhood departments are divided by their birthdays and are assigned to
classes identified by colors as well. These classrooms have a maximum of 24 children with 3 teachers.
Occasionally, our classrooms will fill to capacity and in order to maintain a safe learning environment,
we will have to close the class. Our Children's staff will do their best to help you find an alternative
place for your child if their class does need to close.
